Deep Creek Brewing were awarded the Champion Small International Brewery Trophy at the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA).
The North Auckland brewers were the only New Zealand Champion Trophy winner.
The AIBA, in its 25th year, is described as the largest annual beer competition in the world and attracted more than 2,000 entries this year.
Co-founder Jarred Maclachlan is ecstatic about the win. “It is such a great feeling to have our beer recognised and awarded amidst such a strong panel of brewers. It is an incredible international platform for Deep Creek and we’re so excited to continue taking our products to the world.”
In addition to the trophy, Deep Creek took home ten medals for their flavour fuelled brews. They received gold for their Undercurrent Lager and Lupulin Effect Fresh Hop IPA, silver medals for their Lupulin Effect Wunderbier, Pontoon in a Monsoon, Steam Funk Watermelon Gose and Dusty Gringo and bronze medals for their Lotus, Redwood, Lupulin Effect Double IPA beers.
