Peckham’s Cider has released two new ‘rare ciders’ – Taunton Challenge and Sweet Serious Frenchie.
Both wild fermented and aged for more than a year, one is made in a traditional, dry English style while the other in a traditional, sweeter French style – with a Kiwi twist, of course!
Taunton Challenge (5.9% ABV)
Made from two separate blends of early and late Somerset cider apples, dominated by the diminutive, fragrant Knotted Kernel and the muscular, tannic Major. This cider is wild fermented and made in traditional West Country style; dry and aromatic.
Sweet Serious Frenchie (4.8% ABV)
A sweet cider made in the ancient craft of keeving perfected by French cidermakers. The keeving technique is skilled and slow, and the wild ferment results in a naturally sweet cider full of fruit and texture.
