Controversial TV and radio host Paul Henry is releasing a new limited edition Central Otago Pinot Noir this Friday, 6 November.
‘Paul Henry’s Pinot Noir V3’ coincides with the publication of Henry’s new book I’m in a United State and follows vintages one and two of his Pinot Noirs, released in 2016 and 2017 respectively and made in collaboration with Invivo.
A blend of Pinot Noir from Northburn, Bannockburn and Gibbston vineyards in Central Otago, V3’s punchy dark fruits, confected cherries and espresso roast lead to a deep palate full of sweet fruit, expansive mouthfeel, youthful tannins, juiciness and a long finish.
“The final result must be more than the sum total of its parts… and it is. The individual parts are magnificent. Together they sing,” says Henry.
His first Pinot sold out within three hours of going on sale in 2016, with Glengarry’s server crashing shortly after the wine went on sale due to demand.
But a spokesperson for Glengarry says that they are prepared for the release of Version 3.
“After being one of the very first wine releases to crash our website, we have beefed up our tech in preparation.”
Paul Henry is holding a book signing and tasting of his Pinot Noir on Friday, November 6, at Glengarry Victoria Park (3.30pm – 5pm).
