Entries are open for the Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA).
Established in 1992, AIBA is the largest annual beer competition in the world, judging both draught and packaged beer and is open to commercial breweries of all sizes.
This year features the introduction of new classes, including: ‘New Zealand-Style Pale Ale’ (Best International-Style Pale Ale) and ‘New Zealand-Style India Pale Ale’ (Best Traditional India Pale Ale), as well as ‘Juicy or Hazy Pale Ale’, ‘Juicy or Hazy Strong Pale Ale’, and ‘Experimental India Pale Ale’, and more.
The 2021 Awards saw more than 2,500 entries from over 400 breweries in 21 countries across the categories of beer and packaging design, and awarded 35 trophies.
Entries close on Friday 1 April, with judging in May and the awards presentation scheduled for Thursday 26 May.
