Christchurch’s Kaiser Brew Garden has won the Supreme Award at the 2023 Hospitality Awards for Excellence.
The awards were announced at an event in Auckland on June 28, following the two-day Hospitality New Zealand Conference.
Kaiser Brew Garden won the Best Bar category and the Best Marketed Establishment category before being chosen for the top award from winners of the other 20 categories.
Hospitality New Zealand Chief Executive, Julie White, says Kaiser Brew Bar was a worthy winner from one of the best line-ups of finalists seen in years.
“Hospitality New Zealand congratulates Campbell Parker and their team,” she says. “They did a fantastic job during yet another year of the most trying of circumstances.”
The Kaiser team wrote on Facebook: “We have so many people we want to thank and celebrate our success with, including our amazing Kaiser Brew Garden team, all of wonderful guests that choose to come to Kaiser, our suppliers, our supportive families and our marketing agency Digital Influence.”
The Hospitality Awards for Excellence celebrate the success, achievements and – especially in light of another tough year the industry has just experienced – the resilience of the hospitality and accommodation sector.

Best Marketed Establishment – Kaiser Brew Garden, Christchurch
Outstanding Achievement in Training and Workforce Development – Wynyard Pavillion, Auckland
Best Local – Sprig + Fern Berhampore, Wellington
Best Sports Bar – The Locker Room Sports Bar, Queenstown
Best Destination Venue – Tantalus Estate, Waiheke Island
Best Late Night/Entertainment Venue – Miss Gee’s Bar and Eatery, Tauranga
People’s Choice – Richmond Club, Christchurch
Supreme Winner – Kaiser Brew Garden, Christchurch
