The inaugural edition of WinePro in New Zealand wrapped up last month and has been heralded as a tremendous success, representing a pivotal moment for the country’s wine sector.
Held in Marlborough, New Zealand’s largest wine producing region, and opened by Minister for Trade, Todd McClay and the Mayor of Marlborough, Nadine Taylor, the event attracted more than 2,000 attendees, highlighting the interest and enthusiasm within the industry.
WinePro offered a program catering to all aspects of the wine industry, from viticulture to marketing.
The conference sessions, which saw close to 300 participants, provided a platform for industry leaders and experts to share their insights, innovations, and best practices while giving attendees the chance to engage with them and pose questions to enhance their own practices.
The exhibition floor saw exhibitors demonstrating the latest and greatest in products & technologies, from cutting-edge vineyard management tools to state-of-the-art wine production equipment.
A key takeaway was the strong sense of community and shared purpose among both seasoned industry veterans and newcomers, particularly at the dedicated networking sessions.
Feedback for the three-day event has been overwhelmingly positive, praising the event’s organisation, high-quality and diverse sessions and the scenic, accessible venue.
”For a first time event we were very pleased with the results and, given the positive response to the inaugural show, there is every reason to believe that WinePro will continue to grow and evolve solidifying its position as a key event on the wine industry calendar,” says event organiser, Gary Fitz-Roy.
“As the wine industry itself continues to evolve, WinePro will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping its future, fostering connections, and driving innovation as a must-attend biannual event.”
