OWNZ is partnering with the New Zealand Horticentre Charitable Trust to offer scholarships for the Organic & Biodynamic Winegrowing Conference.
The three-day conference takes place in Marlborough 16-18 June 2025 and up to 10 scholarships are available to New Zealand wine industry members to attend.
“We’re so grateful the trust has come on board to support young and developing winegrowers again,” says conference committee member, Amy Hopkinson-Styles.
“The scholarships are a fantastic initiative enabling smaller growers in distanced regions the chance to attend, who might not otherwise be able to.”
Recipients will receive a full registration for the conference and assistance with accommodation and transport for those out of region if needed.
Eligibility for application:
- Young or developing winegrowers and winemakers that can demonstrate their potential contribution and passion for organic growing and production of wine in Aotearoa.
- Applicants from all winegrowing regions of Aotearoa are encouraged to apply along with those who may not be able to attend otherwise due to financial constraints.
Applicants are invited to apply here from 1 November. Applications will be made anonymously to the selection panel.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:
The Organic & Biodynamic Winegrowing Conference brings together leading industry experts and speakers from across the motu and the globe. It caters to all wine industry producers, from the certified organic to the curious, imparting innovation, knowledge and networking to inspire the future of winegrowing.
The event will acknowledge the traditions of Matariki (the Māori new year) and the winter solstice.
Themes for the event are under the earth, above the ground, and into the sky – ki raro, ki runga, ki te rangi.
Topics will include climate change, biodiversity, soil health, biodynamics, regenerative viticulture and more.
