Four New Zealand wines have been named in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2024.
The list, curated annually since 1988, celebrates wines that exemplify quality, value, and excitement as a winery to watch.
The four wines from New Zealand include: Craggy Range Sauvignon Blanc Martinborough Te Muna 2023 (#11), Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2023 (#41), Invivo Pinot Noir Marlborough X, Sarah Jessica Parker 2022 (#82) and Burn Cottage Pinot Noir Central Otago Moonlight Race 2022 (#84).
Wine Spectator defines the Top 100 list as “a diverse group—ranging from emerging labels and regions to traditional estates exploring new directions—and all generate the excitement we call the ‘X-factor’.”
The team at Craggy Range said in a Facebook post they are beyond thrilled to be be named #11 in the list.
“With 10 consecutive vintages scoring 90+ points from Wine Spectator, our Craggy Range Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc has been consistently lifting the bar, exemplifying our pursuit of excellence and passion for crafting a wine which is vibrant, complex and a refreshing expression of its variety and terroir.”
