Countdown begins for the Harvest Wairarapa Wine Festival

Tickets for the Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival are selling fast, with half already snapped up for this celebration of all things wine, food, and fun.

Set against the natural beauty of ‘The Cliffs’ Riverside Reserve on Saturday, 15 February 2025, this festival marks the beginning of the 2025 grape harvest season – featuring Wairarapa’s finest wineries, food producers and live entertainment.

“The 2024 festival was a huge hit – our guests couldn’t stop talking about the lively atmosphere, exceptional wines, mouthwatering food, and unforgettable live music,” says Wairarapa Wine Festival Chair, Nicky Geary.

“So, it’s no surprise that we’ve already sold half of our general admission tickets, three months out from the event.

“It’s a clear sign of how much people love this celebration of Wairarapa’s finest, and we’re encouraging everyone to grab their tickets soon to avoid disappointment.”

Due to popular demand, the Wine Geek 101 experience is back for its second year. With only four spots remaining, the exclusive masterclass is perfect for both seasoned connoisseurs and those new to the world of wine.

One of the most anticipated features of the festival is “Meet the Makers”, where festival goers can connect with winemakers, while sipping on their finest wines and enjoying expertly curated food pairings in the beautiful riverside setting.

“This is an incredible opportunity to engage directly with the 14 wineries showcasing their finest wines, discover the unique flavours that define Wairarapa, and meet the passionate winemakers behind the bottles,” says Cleary.

“It’s a chance to experience firsthand the craftsmanship and dedication that make Wairarapa’s wine scene truly exceptional.”

The festival will also feature an line-up of 14 wineries from across the region, including Big Sky Wines, Cambridge Road Vineyard, Colombo Martinborough, Coney Wines, Fairmont Estate, Gladstone Vineyard, Grava, Johner Estate, Le Gra Winery, Matahiwi Estate, Nga Pari, Stad_ko Wines, Te Hera Estate and URLAR Gladstone.
