INAUGRAL EVENT: Hospitality Goes To Parliament

Representatives of industry associations and hospitality leaders from throughout New Zealand are meeting the Minister of Tourism & Hospitality, Matt Doocey tomorrow for an historic inaugural Hospitality Summit at Parliament Buildings in Wellington.

Hon Matt Doocey, Minister for Tourism and Hospitality.

This landmark event will unite hospitality leaders, government representatives, and stakeholders to address the most pressing issues facing the hospitality and tourism sectors.

From staff shortages to compliance burdens, shifting customer expectations to rising costs, the closed door summit will provide a platform for open dialogue and collaboration.

Insights from hundreds of businesses have already shaped the draft recommendations that will be presented to Matt Doocey. These cover key areas such as immigration reform, workforce development, easing compliance, and promoting food tourism.

As a result of the summit, jointly hosted by the Restaurant Association of New Zealand and Hospitality NZ, it is anticipated a planned, collaborative pathway to overcome challenges will be developed.
