For the past few months Appellation Marlborough Wine has been developing a tool to better explain the region’s diversity and the factors that influence wine style across Marlborough’s subregions.
Created in partnership with MapHQ, the map builds on the original Wine Map of Marlborough and brings it to life with interactive layers showing topography, climate, soils, and more.
It also includes photography and commentary from local winemakers and viticulturists.
The map is designed as a practical tool for media, trade, and educators — anyone wanting to understand the Marlborough region in greater depth and communicate what makes AMW-certified wines distinctive.
