Following a successful trial in Mt Roskill Countdown, beer chiller door media has now been approved for use in Countdown supermarkets.
With more choice than ever in the beer category at Countdown stores, particularly in new stores where additional craft and premium SKUs are added on a regular basis, the new format could help beer brands dominate the category this summer.
In July, DB Breweries undertook a single-store trial to test the sales and operational impact of the beer chiller door media with the following results:
Store: Mt Roskill Countdown
Control stores: Hornby, Botany Downs, Lower Hutt
Unit uplift: 950% lift in unit sales VS control stores
Dollar uplift: 794% uplift in dollars VS control stores
Following analysis of Heineken’s original SKU, it was found that not only did the media presence drive significant uplift of Heineken Light, Heineken’s original SKU experienced an uplift of 130% unit sales and 204% uplift in dollars. Contact Hypermedia for bookings.
