After a four-year hiatus, the Court of Master Sommeliers Oceania is set to return to Auckland this September to offer the certification programme for sommeliers and hospitality professionals.
The Court of Master Sommeliers Oceania will also present a three-hour intensive tasting and workshop in Auckland on June 18, for hospitality professionals interested in learning more about the Court of Master Sommeliers certification programme ahead of the upcoming examinations.
The Court of Master Sommeliers was established in 1977 to promote excellence in hotel and restaurant beverage services.
The intensive education and examination programme guides aspiring Master Sommeliers through four rigorous coursework and examinations, culminating in the Master Sommelier Diploma Examination.
“We’re thrilled to return to Auckland to offer our formal certification programme for sommeliers and hospitality professionals,” says Franck Moreau MS, Chair of the Court of Master Sommeliers Oceania.
“We would warmly encourage individuals currently employed within Auckland’s hospitality industry to come along to our three-hour workshop and tasting on June 18, where they can participate in a blind-tasting and workshop led by New Zealand Master Sommelier Cameron Douglas and Advanced Sommelier Andrea Martinisi.
“This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to participate in a blind tasting under the guidance of a Master Sommelier, without committing to the full three-day Introductory Sommelier Certificate programme.”
