Award winning, craft brewers and restaurateurs, Deep Creek have opened the doors to their Silverdale brewery, launching a purpose built tap room to satiate demand of the passionate following for their locally brewed beer.
With brew bars in Browns Bay, Waiheke and Orewa the new off-license offers guests the chance to get a behind the scenes look at the brewing process, with a tour of the facility and a tasting of Deep Creek’s range of beers including their experimental batches.
Deep Creek has also relaunched their core range of Pilsner, Pale Ale, American Pale Ale and Irish Red Ale beers as six-pack cans to increase accessibility of the product, with these superiorly crafted beers the most affordable in their market segment.
Craft beers and innovation go hand-in-hand and where Deep Creek have been experimenting lately is with the creation of sour beers, which can be really refreshing and have received great feedback through their bars.
The company’s barrel programme is also growing with a number of beers being either fermented or conditioned in wine or whisky barrels. Produced in limited volumes, these beers are fan favourites and have won awards including a silver medal in the Dublin Craft Brewing Awards for the Whisky Infused Scotch Ale.
With three brew pubs, a production brewery and tap room in Silverdale and a path into supermarkets confirmed, the next step for Deep Creek is the global market.
