The Whisky Galore team has announced the eighth biennial whisky festival DramFest will be held in February 2022.
DramFest is New Zealand’s largest whisky tasting and education festival and it is set to move to a new venue – Te Pae Christchurch Convention & Exhibition Centre.
“While we are still facing the implications of a global pandemic and things may look a little different to previous years, we are certain that our two days of camaraderie among New Zealand’s whisky enthusiasts will be stronger than ever!” says Whisky Galore.
“Te Pae Christchurch has been purpose built as the city’s gathering place. An architectural and social landmark designed as a welcoming heart in the city centre.
“With this in mind we couldn’t think of a better place to host DramFest, share a dram or two and spread the good word of whisky.”
Rum will be once again be returning as the festival’s ‘Guest Spirit’.
Scheduled to be held on February 26-27, 2022, in excess of 300 different whisky and rum expressions will be available to sample from distilleries, producers and independent bottlers from Scotland, Japan, Ireland, America, New Zealand and around the world.
Whisky and rum experts from New Zealand and overseas will host exclusive tasting sessions over the course of the weekend both in person and virtually.
