Taco Bell is adding beer, wine and “mixed alcohol” freezes to its menu at a new restaurant location opening this summer in Chicago.
The restaurant will open in Wicker Park, reports say, and will be the first U.S. location to serve alcohol. Taco Bell locations in Japan, South Korea and Spain already serve alcohol.
Interestingly, you’ll have to finish your drink inside the store. Taco Bell, owned by Yum! Brands Inc. YUM, will serve the drinks in different cups to make sure customers don’t take any to-go, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The new location will be unlike any other Taco Bell in the U.S., featuring exposed brick walls, murals from local artists and communal tables. The hipsterfied location was designed to attract millennials while shedding its fast food image.
The news comes after an announcement in May that Taco Bell will remove all artificial flavours and colors from its food by the end of the year.
