An e-commerce gin subscription business based in Havelock North, partnered with boutique gin distillers and food and beverage small businesses across New Zealand, is pledging its support to those affected by Cyclone Gabrielle in Hawke’s Bay.
The CLINK team, whose warehouse is in Havelock North, witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of the cyclone on the local community and businesses and wanted to use their platform to provide financial assistance to those who need it the most.
“We founded CLINK with the vision to help connect Kiwi’s with businesses just like those who have lost everything,” says co-founder Katija Vlatkovich.
“So we wanted to use the CLINK platform to provide further financial assistance to those who need it most in the Hawke’s Bay community.”
CLINK released a special fundraising box last week, which included products donated by New Zealand independent businesses who wanted to give back to the community.
The boxes sold out within 24 hours of launching with more than $3,500 raised for the Hawke’s Bay Foundation’s “Cyclone Relief Fund”.
The foundation is directly making an impact to help people on the ground who were affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.
CLINK is still keeping donations for the fund open on its website. Anyone who would like to support the cause can contribute by visiting www.clinkdrink.co.nz.
