Heineken Star Serve semi-finalists Matthew Fillipini from Easy Tiger and Martin Crawford from Victoria Street Bistro
Heineken brought the highly-anticipated Star Serve Semi-Finals to Auckland this week, where local bar enthusiasts were treated to an evening of friendly rivalry as bartenders from local Heineken bar outlets in the northern region battled it out to pour the perfect glass of Heineken beer and earn themselves a place in the Heineken Star Serve National Finals.
Matthew Fillipini from Easy Tiger and Martin Crawford from Victoria Street Bistro in the Waikato took out the top two spots, after pouring the perfect glass of Heineken draught beer adhering to Heineken’s 5 Star Serve steps and impressing the tough panel of judges including George FM drive show host, Dan Aux.
The two winners will now join Heineken Star Serve semi-finalists from around the country in the national finals in Auckland this March to compete for the top New Zealand title.
The national winner will then be taken to Amsterdam, the home of Heineken, to compete for the world title.
