NZ Bar Con (vention) – New Zealand’s very first dedicated bar week platform – is set to take place in Auckland on August 4-6, 2024.
Organised by Sarah Dawn-Mitchell and Andrea Marseglia of Teresa Bar in Napier, the convention is about empowering the bar and hospitality industry by providing an opportunity for gathering, inspiring, and expanding knowledge in the craft.
“For the past six years, we have been discussing and debating whether a NZ Bar Con event would be beneficial for the industry,” the pair says.
“How fantastic and inspiring are the Bar Weeks/Convents overseas!? Why don’t we have one in NZ? Would it even work here? This year is the year we are throwing caution to the wind and giving it a go!”
NZ Bar Con (vention) will be three days of seminars, tastings, events and takeovers, all aimed at inspiring, educating or bringing together the beverage industry in New Zealand.
It’s also an opportunity for suppliers to engage with their customers face-to-face at the Supplier Symposium.
