Champagne Piper Heidseick was the only Champagne House to be bootlegged to the US during Prohibition.
In celebration of 100 years since Prohibition, Champagne Piper Heidseick has launched a limited edition bottle to resemble what it looked like all that time ago.
Piper Heidsieck’s General Manager, Benoit Collard, says the Prohibition bottle is celebration of young and old where innovation meets history.
“Reflective of a significant period of time in the brand’s rich and eccentric history, the bespoke bottle tells a story of the efforts of bootleggers, the underground speakeasy scene and notorious Gatsby-esque parties of the wealthy who had the foresight to stock up their cellars before 1920.,” he says.
Champagne Piper Heidseick is the Official Champagne Sponsor of the Academy Awards- this is what was poured through the 2020 awards ceremony.
PIPER HEIDSEICK x PROHIBITION will be available in New Zealand from 1st October 2020.
The limited release will be available at Glengarry Wines and online.
