The voice of soil and place is clear in the bouquet of this wine – aromas of stones, clay and chalk precede scents of apple and citrus, quince and fresh fig. Other aromas of barrel-ferment and nut, peach and fresh red apple follow. A complete wine with a core of complexity and style. A vibrant texture and mouthfeel with a baseline of acidity and tannins, some barrel and lees work underpin a core of ripe fruit and natural power. The tautness of youth and excellent winemaking speak volumes within this expression. Less than full-bodied, instead the voice of place and style. A lovely finish with best drinking from 2024 through 2029.
