Having just received recognition with British Airways, Saint Clair Family Estate will see its highly acclaimed Saint Clair Pioneer Block 20 Cash Block Sauvignon Blanc 2015 being served within their fleet of more than 280 aircraft to more than 170 destinations in 70 countries. The wine will be carried on the Asian Pacific routes for two months commencing in April and will be offered to Business Class passengers.
British Airways, the largest international carrier in the UK, is one of the world’s leading airlines. The premium airline is based at the world’s busiest airport, London Heathrow. This is perfect positioning for the family owned Marlborough winery to be served on such a premium global airline that carries more than 40 million customers a year. Saint Clair Family Estate hope this leads to future opportunities to gain listings with British Airways.
Qantas, Australia’s largest domestic and international airline are also about to serve Saint Clair wines to their customers. Saint Clair Pioneer Block 10 Twin Hills Pinot Noir and Saint Clair Pioneer Block 3 43 Degrees Sauvignon Blanc will form a part of their wine offering to their customers.
Iceland air have also been sharing Saint Clair wines to their first class passengers with the Saint Clair Marlborough Premium Chardonnay on board for last August, September and October and the Vicar’s Choice Sauvignon Blanc which commenced in November and will continue until April 2016. This is not the first time for Saint Clair to be on Iceland air with them purchasing Saint Clair wine since early 2014. This is also excellent for Saint Clair being able to introduce their wines to potential buyers in a market where alcohol advertising is not permitted.
International and domestic airline Air New Zealand have poured wines from Saint Clair Family Estate for over ten years. Currently the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 4 Sawcut Chardonnay 2013 is part of their offering.
