Auckland’s finest bars and restaurants are poised to show Aucklanders just what they’re made of this month during the East Imperial Gin Jubilee.
From 25 October 2019, 54 bars and restaurants in Auckland will open their doors to the public to help judge the best gin cocktail in the city. The festival will wrap up on 9 November 2019 with the announcement of the winning bartender and crowning of this years’ champion gin libation.
The winner receives the silver tankard for Auckland’s Best Gin and East Imperial mixer – not to mention an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles, USA.
The 15-day jubilee will celebrate the famous tipple by showcasing a curated selection of internationally renowned, local and boutique gin brands to highlight the best of what the gin industry has to offer. Since launching in 2012, East Imperial is redefining what a traditional gin & tonic is, and the now well-established Gin Jubilee is the means to showcase this exciting evolution to all willing participants.
