If you’re in Mount Maunganui this summer head along to Beast of a Feast – a summer festival packed with beer and street-eats.
Taking place on January 3 at Soper Reserve, Beast of a Feast is a one-day outdoor event showcasing New Zealand’s best craft and mainstream beer with indulgent food. The festival is split into two sessions – 10am-3pm and 4pm-9pm, allowing guests to spend the whole day or just pop down for the evening.
Mount Brewing Co is brewing a special limited edition pancake and bacon Ale for the event and Mata’s new Belgian-inspired berry beer is making its Tauranga debut at the festival.
“We have an impressive line-up of breweries, both iconic Kiwi brands and boutique craft brew houses, who will be revealing their latest creations from ‘The Beer Affair’ tent,” says Event Director Chris Duffy. “Enthusiasts can hear the stories behind the brands, discover unique varieties and taste-test exclusive beers crafted especially for the event.”
As well as showcasing the best beers, the festival has top Auckland chefs creating pop-up restaurants especially for the day, including MorePork and Melt, and guests will be treated to live music – from jazz fusions to rainbow pop.
Tickets for the R18 event are available from Ticketek or The Rising Tide – Brewhouse and Eatery in Mount Maunganui.
