The countdown is on for the seventh biennial whisky festival, DramFest, taking place on the 7th and 8th of March 2020.
Held at the newly refurbished Christchurch Town Hall, DramFest is two full days of whisky education and tasting
With a predicted attendance of more than 2,000 whisky enthusiasts from all over New Zealand, Australia and as far afield as Europe, DramFest 2020 will see the New Zealand whisky industry represented in its highest capacity ever.
More than 300 different whisky and rum expressions will be available to sample from distilleries, producers and independent bottlers from Scotland, Japan, Ireland, America, New Zealand and around the world and more than 20 visiting whisky and rum experts will be in attendance. These include Dave Broom MQ, award winning spirits author, whisky expert and educator; Alan Winchester MQ, The Master Distiller of The Glenlivet and Chivas Brother’s 14 other distilleries, including Strathisla and Aberlour distilleries and The Hon. Alex Bruce MQ, managing director of Adelphi & Ardnamurchan distillery, the world’s first truly green distilling company.
