New Zealand cider lovers will have the opportunity to explore Australia’s fastest growing boutique cider, with the announcement that Negociants New Zealand will begin distributing ciders from The Hills Cider Company.
The Hills Cider Company has fast become one of Australia’s greatest craft cider success stories, with distribution nation-wide of both bottle and keg products, a swiftly expanding export market, and countless awards, including Champion Cider in Show at the Australian Cider Awards.
Launched in 2010, The Hills Cider Company is renowned for its dedication to using only 100% fresh fruit, with absolutely no added sugar, concentrate, flavour or water. Sourcing fresh apples and pears exclusively from South Australia’s cool climate Adelaide Hills, the company is one of only a handful of cider producers to have complete land to hand control over their product, ensuring only the highest quality fruit is used in producing their handcrafted ciders.
Cider maker Steve Dorman is excited by the opportunity to take his products to the New Zealand cider market, which he notes is already home to some exemplary cider producers. “The strong demand in the New Zealand cider market for quality, craft, ‘real cider’, produced not from flavours and concentrate but from fresh apples and pears, is a strong sign that consumers are actively seeking out quality and traceability. New Zealand cider drinkers have almost tripled since 2010, and we think drinkers will enjoy our fresh, natural, fruit driven range.”
Negociants New Zealand will be launching The Hills Cider Company bottled range, including a crisp, fresh Apple Cider and clean, fragrant Pear Cider. All Hills Cider products are gluten free and vegan.
Hills Cider bottled products are distributed in New Zealand by Negociants.
