The winner of Auckland’s first ever East Imperial Gin Jubilee has been announced.
Haans Mayer from Ponsonby Bar Golden Dawn beat out 32 other bars from around the city to take home the silver tankard for Auckland’s best Gin & Tonic.
The favourite cocktail was chosen via public vote on Instagram throughout the week with more than 1,500 votes submitted.
Mayer’s Gin & Tonic was named Resplendent Rogue and included unique flavours of orange marmalade and sherry.
Second place went to The Gin Room’s Sacred Cloud by Cameron Attfield using Sacred Spring gin, with Sammy Akuthota from
Satya Chai Lounge coming in third with his Chai & Tonic using Elephant Gin.
